About This Project

This tracker exists because of the revolving door of repeat violent offenders in King County. Too often, individuals with dozens of arrests—many for violent crimes—are released back onto the streets within days, only to reoffend.

All data comes from public court records and is updated regularly. We focus exclusively on:

  • Repeat offenders (3+ arrests minimum)
  • Those with violent criminal history
  • Patterns of quick re-arrest after release

This is not about targeting individuals for minor mistakes. It's about accountability for a system that repeatedly fails to protect the public from known violent offenders.

Scoring Methodology

The accountability score is calculated based on:

Base Points by Crime Severity

  • Tier 5 (Murder, Rape 1): 75-100 pts
  • Tier 4 (Assault 1-2, Robbery): 30-50 pts
  • Tier 3 (Assault 3, Burglary 1): 15-25 pts
  • Tier 2 (Assault 4, Theft 2): 5-10 pts
  • Tier 1 (Minor offenses): 1-2 pts

Multipliers & Bonuses

  • Violent crime multiplier: 1.5x
  • Recency bonus: Up to 2x for recent crimes
  • Revolving door: +25 pts if re-arrested within 24h
  • Pattern bonus: +15-25 for escalation
